In 2009, Phil graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University. From 2009 to 2012, Phil worked as the Logistics Forester for Pacolet Milliken Enterprises, Inc. based out of Spartanburg, S.C. His primarily responsibilities included the planning and execution of all forestry-related field operations for over 27,000 acres of company-owned timberland in South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. He gained extensive knowledge and experience in GPS/GIS/mapping, database/information management, prescribed burning, timber cruising, timber sale preparation and administration, tree planting, and all other aspects of operational forestry.
In October of 2012, Phil joined Henderson Forestry Consultants as a Staff Forester. He is now the business’ owner and lead Consulting Forester. Phil’s daily responsibilities cover all aspects of the business. A large amount of his time is devoted to completion of field projects, mapping, timber sale administration, contractor supervision, and client communication.
